Author

J. Wayne Owens is a pastor, business owner, media producer, and leader with 27 years of experience leading in the church and the marketplace. He is the founder of Renew Life Ministries in Detroit, Michigan, and the founder of Owens Media Production, where he has built and led creative teams and produced video and media projects for ministries and artists. He has worked alongside gospel artist Fred Hammond and Impact Network TV, with Bishop Wayne T. Jackson. Over the years, Wayne has led a church, a media team, a business, a movement of men called Men of Influence, and a fellowship of business leaders. Each one looked different, and each one asked something different of him. In every one of them, the mission stayed the same: to lead people with God in mind. His leadership has been shaped by seasons of growth and loss. He has founded a ministry, moved ahead before God’s timing, lost a building, rebuilt trust, and started again. Those lessons, along with the mentors who invested in him and corrected him along the way, are the foundation of this book. Today, Wayne leads through Fortified Leaders, a community of leaders who come together in a safe place to do Kingdom work. He is called to pastor, and he believes leaders are never finished learning.
