This book began with someone very special to me: my nine-year-old son, who loves
reading and writing. I started this writer's guide to help him gain confidence, organize his
ideas, and enjoy turning his imagination into stories.
I wanted to give him a welcoming place to experiment, make mistakes, and discover his
own voice, one sentence at a time. That simple wish became My Story Adventure.
My hope is that these pages will encourage your child, too. Whether they are writing
their first story or dreaming up their next adventure, I hope they find the courage to
begin and the pride that comes from creating something of their own
