The Unsuitables

Nova has survived seventeen years by staying invisible. In the Bastion, every citizen is measured, ranked, and assigned a fate by the Loom, a self-aware machine disguised as divine order. Nova is a Blank, unregistered, unscanned, and impossible to calculate. That should have kept her safe. Instead, it makes her the one thing the Loom cannot survive. When the hidden truth of the Purge is exposed and the Dregs begin to collapse, Nova is forced into an alliance with Atlas, a shattered Seer who has seen the machine’s nightmare future. Together with a resistance built from the city’s castoff Unsuitables, they must cross the deadliest levels of the Bastion, breach the Sanctum, and face the god behind the script. But the Loom has already begun to recalculate, and it knows exactly where to look for the girl who doesn’t exist. The only way to save the city may be the one thing Nova has spent her entire life learning not to do: let the machine see her.
