A Star Reading for Understanding

A-Star Reading for Understanding for Nursery 2 is a structured early-reading programme designed to deepen children’s comprehension, language, and thinking skills as they prepare for the transition into Reception. At this stage, children are developing the ability to talk about stories in more detail, answer questions, and begin to explain their thinking. This book builds on the foundations established in Nursery 1 by moving from simple picture recognition to story awareness, sequencing, early inference, and discussion. A-Star Reading for Understanding for Nursery 2 is fully aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and supports key areas of development, including Communication and Language and Literacy.
