The Cost of a Choice

The Cost of a Choice explores the consequences of actions, the weight of responsibility, and the enduring power of friendship. When Milo is drawn deeper into a hidden world bound by ancient rules, a single decision two summers ago set events in motion that cannot be undone. As fear and uncertainty grow, he must face the reality that every choice carries a cost. Alongside Jack, Milo is forced to navigate the difficult path between justice and mercy—learning that doing what is right is not always clear, and forgiveness is never simple.

Some kids run away from home to join the circus… Roy Stone ran away from the circus to join a home. (And yes—that part is true.) A lifelong entertainer and master of puns and dad jokes, Roy proudly considers himself a “carney” at heart. He grew up traveling from town to town with his family, gaining a unique blend of skills and passions including magic and illusions, puppetry, clowning, painting and design, and—above all—storytelling. Roy spent more than 38 years in children’s ministry as a pastor and traveling speaker, bringing laughter, creativity, and meaningful messages to audiences of all ages. After retiring from full-time ministry, he launched his own magic manufacturing business, creating high-quality props and illusions for family entertainers. Today, Roy shares his love of storytelling through his books, including The Amazing World of Milo and Jack the Jackalope series and the adventures of his little white bunny friend, Little Blue—also known as Ally Kazam. Roy lives in Florida with his wife of 30 years, Cari. Together, they enjoy raising their incredibly cute—yet highly skilled—thoroughbred bunnies.
