Say It Here

Some words are easy to say. Others remain unspoken, unfinished or waiting until we feel ready to give them somewhere to exist. Say It Here is a guided reflective journal and creative writing companion for the thoughts, feelings and conversations that can be difficult to express aloud. It offers a private place to explore what is happening within you, understand what matters and find the words you need—without any pressure to share them with anyone else. Through carefully written prompts, unsent letters and gentle creative activities, you are invited to explore your emotions, needs, values, boundaries, relationships and experiences. The journal includes space to work through conversations that continue to occupy your mind, write to other people or different versions of yourself, recognise your strengths and express words you may have carried for too long. Alongside the guided activities are colouring illustrations, lined writing pages and open spaces for free writing, lists, doodles and whatever else needs somewhere to go. There is no correct order and no expectation that every page must be completed. You can begin at the beginning, choose the activity that feels most relevant or return whenever you have something you need to say. Created by Dr Tanya Heasley, author, TEDx speaker and experienced coach whose work is informed by coaching psychology and positive psychology. Say It Here can be used independently or as a companion to her book A Letter to My Anger. This is not about finding perfect words or solving everything. It is simply a safe, thoughtful place to write honestly, reflect gently and let the page hold what you have been carrying.

Author

Dr Tanya Heasley is a Coaching Psychologist, author and TEDx speaker whose work explores emotions, communication and the words people often find difficult to express. For more than 25 years, Tanya has helped people understand what is happening beneath the surface of their thoughts, feelings and relationships. She has delivered more than 3,000 coaching sessions through private practice and BetterUp, supporting people who experience overthinking, people-pleasing, emotional overwhelm, conflict avoidance and difficulty saying what they really mean. Tanya believes that better communication begins with a better relationship with ourselves. Through self-kindness, authenticity, emotional awareness and assertive communication, she helps people reconnect with their voice and express themselves with greater clarity, confidence and self-respect. She is the creator of Anger-Informed Coaching® and the author of A Letter to My Anger. Her doctoral research explored anger in professional and educational contexts, deepening her understanding of what can happen when important thoughts, feelings and needs remain unspoken. Tanya is Autistic, has ADHD and is a mother of four. Her personal experiences, alongside her professional work, give her valuable insight into masking, self-silencing, emotional intensity and the challenge of remaining true to yourself in a world that often encourages people to fit in. Drawing on her experience, research and understanding of the emotions people carry beneath the surface, Tanya creates thoughtful resources that help people reflect, communicate and connect more honestly with themselves. She created Say It Here to offer a private place for words that feel unfinished or difficult to share. Through reflective prompts, unsent letters and gentle creative activities, the journal encourages people to understand what matters to them and express themselves without the pressure to find perfect words.
