Saheed Babajide Okuboyejo is a dynamic technology lawyer, writer, and entrepreneur. He earned his LL.B. in Common Law from the University of Lagos, Nigeria in 2005 and was called to the Nigerian Bar as a Solicitor and Advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in 2006. Furthering his education, Saheed Okuboyejo obtained an MBA from the Gordon Institute of Business Science at the University of Pretoria, South Africa, in 2013 specialising in sustainability in entrepreneurship. During this period, he consulted extensively on project development and finance for off-grid and on-grid renewable energy projects in South Africa and Nigeria.
In 2022, Okuboyejo achieved an LL.M. in European Private Law from the University of Amsterdam, focusing on non-normative regulatory approaches to the regulation of disruptive technologies. His expertise spans legal research, contract analysis and regulatory compliance in sustainability, disruptive technologies, and smart mobility. Specialising in technology law, Okuboyejo’s work includes a keen focus on clean technology, drones, robots, AI, blockchain, self-driving cars, bioengineering, and space exploration.
His debut book, “Drone Law 3.0: Evolving the Legal Typology for Commercial Drones in the Age of AI”, offers a comprehensive critique of the legal frameworks governing commercial drones. It explores the intersection of cutting-edge drone technology and evolving global regulatory landscapes.
